What the module can do
Badge only
Anyone taking something first scans their own badge, from the app, the wallet or the card. The kiosk never shows a list of people or contact details, and bookings always go to the person on the badge.
Borrow, return, supplies
Three paths, each switchable per kiosk: borrow devices and books, return with a check of condition and accessories, take consumables. The due date is one tap.
Scan with the front camera
You can use a hand scanner, but you don't need one: in the app the front camera reads badges, devices and supplies, as QR codes or barcodes. Nothing is recorded or stored in the process.
App for iPad and Mac
“Inventaris Kiosk” shows the terminal only: no address bar, no way into the rest of the application. With Guided Access or single app mode via MDM, the device stays on the kiosk even when nobody is watching.
Stays signed in, with a rest screen in the app
Sign in once with the kiosk ID, and the kiosk then stays signed in, even after a restart. In the app a rest screen appears after 15 minutes without use; a tap or a scan wakes it up.
In four languages
The kiosk speaks German, French, English and Italian, in the language of the organisation or the device. It clears abandoned transactions by itself after 70 seconds.

What is asked next
Does the kiosk cost extra?
No. The kiosk is included in every plan and counts as one user. The app for iPad and Mac is free.
What do I need?
An iPad, a Mac or any computer with a browser. Under Settings › Kiosk you create the kiosk ID and choose what the kiosk can do. You can connect a hand scanner in keyboard mode, but it is not required.
Can someone borrow in another person’s name at the kiosk?
Bookings always go to the scanned badge. By default it carries the Inventaris Kiosk No., a random number per person; on request the employee number. If a badge is lost, you reissue it under Master data.
