Undertakings that grow out of the inventory
Rolling out two hundred new iPads, the summer maintenance, the move of a specialist room: undertakings like these connect devices, tickets and requests over weeks. In the project they are all together in one place.
In detail
What the module can do
Out of the inventory
A project links devices, tickets, requests and damage that already exist. No data is created twice.
A plan with phases and effort
Tasks organised into phases, with owners and target and actual hours. Progress is calculated from the tasks completed.
Schedule as a Gantt chart
The start and due date of the tasks produce a bar chart with milestones by themselves. You need neither a second tool nor an export.
Budget in view
Planned against actual, each cost item individually, plus the device value from the links. Utilisation is shown as a percentage and turns red as soon as the budget is exceeded.
Who carries it along
Participants with a role (team, steering committee, observer) and a history of status reports, risks and decisions, bundled with the project.
Only for those it concerns
Management and administration may manage it. Whoever is assigned to a project can see it, including with the borrower role, but read-only.
Questions
What is asked next
Is this a second project tool?
No. It is part of the inventory and links devices, tickets and requests that are already there. If the module is switched off, these cases remain unchanged.
Does it need Microsoft Project?
No. Plan, dates, budget and history are in Inventaris. For an undertaking from your own holdings you need no second program.
