No second user administration
Accounts, roles and master data come from the directory you already maintain. Anyone who leaves the organisation loses access to Inventaris at the next sync, without anyone having to remove an account by hand.

What the module can do
Connected with one click
The administrator signs in with Microsoft and grants access. You don't need a directory ID or your own app registration in the portal.
Roles from security groups
One security group for staff, four for the roles and, with the Library add-on, one for students: SiGR-Inventaris-Personal, -Administrator, -Verwalter, -Mitarbeiter, -Ausleiher and -SuS. Anyone in one of these groups can sign in.
Staff including master data
Name, function, department, office, phone, address and profile picture come from the directory and stay maintained there.
Leaving takes effect at the next sync
Whoever drops out of the groups loses access at the next sync. The application explicitly shows any open loans when this happens.
Owner and kiosk stay local
This way the owner can still sign in and set up the connection again, even if the Microsoft 365 integration is interrupted.
Microsoft Teams
Inventaris as an app in Teams
People who spend their day in Teams don’t need to open yet another page. The Inventaris app sits on the left in Teams, and the whole application runs inside it, signed in with the Microsoft 365 account. Reminders, notices and updates on tickets and damage reports also arrive as a notification under “Activity”.
- Everything in Teams. Loans, returns, inventory, reservations, tickets: every page opens directly in the tab. Light or dark, as Teams is set.
- Scan with the camera. In Teams on phones and tablets, the camera scans devices and ID cards, on iPhone and iPad too.
- No second password. Sign-in happens automatically through Microsoft 365. Roles and rights are the same as in Inventaris.
- Upload once and pin. IT downloads the app package from the settings, uploads it in the Teams admin center and pins it for everyone.

What if we do not have Microsoft 365?
Then you work with local accounts. The connection to Microsoft 365 is optional.
Do you see our data in Microsoft 365?
Inventaris reads group members and their master data. If permission for Teams notifications has been granted, it also sends reminders and notices to the activity feed. The diagnostics on the settings page show which permissions the application has been granted.
What does IT need for the Teams app?
A connected Microsoft 365 integration. The app package is then available under Settings → Microsoft 365 and is uploaded once in the Teams admin center. Anyone with an Inventaris account can see the tab. Microsoft rolls out apps and setup policies with a delay; in larger Microsoft tenants it takes up to 72 hours for the app to appear for everyone.
