Inventaris for Businesses
What's about to lose its warranty, and which device has been in repair for the fifth time.

Day to day

What it hangs on, and what comes of it

First the situation, as it typically occurs there. Then what Inventaris makes of it.

  • Tools on the building site Fixed assignment to staff or vehicles, without a due date and without a reminder.
  • Warranties and inspection deadlines Warranty date per device, plus your own fields for inspection deadlines. The report shows which warranties are about to expire.
  • Devices that keep failing The service intensity tells you which device has been in repair for the fifth time.
  • Justifying purchases Requests with an approval chain and invoice checks.
  • Company devices tracked twice Whatever is in Intune, Jamf or Mosyle, Inventaris fetches it, complete with serial number and last report.

The stock

What's in the inventory here

Much of it has no plug and is still recorded just like any other device. Whatever gets lent out belongs in here.

How the inventory is structured →

  • Tools and machines Assigned permanently to staff or to vehicles, without a due date.
  • Measuring equipment With a warranty date and your own fields for inspection and calibration deadlines. The warranty report shows what is about to expire.
  • IT out in the field Notebooks and phones, on request straight from Intune or Jamf.
  • Loan devices for customers With due date, reminder and a return that checks condition and accessories.

The start

The first three steps

In this order, because each step builds on the previous one.

  1. 1 Set up cost centres and departments So the report later calculates along your structure.
  2. 2 Import your stock With acquisition value and purchase date. Current value and warranty reports come out of that with no further work.
  3. 3 Book fixed assignments After that it is recorded who permanently holds which tool. No reminders go out for these assignments.

You do step 2 yourself; the template and preview are part of the subscription. If the list is very big or inconsistent, we'll take it on if you like, charged by effort with the price named up front. The whole process is in the manual.

Questions

What gets asked from this corner

We have devices that never come back. Is that a problem?

No. That's what the “fixed to staff” booking type is for: no return date, no reminder, and the device can be found at any time.

Can we keep track of warranties and inspection deadlines?

Yes. Each device has “Warranty until” and, if you like, your own date fields, for example for the next inspection. The warranty report shows what expires in 30, 90, 180 or 365 days.

How do we spot devices that keep failing?

The service intensity counts damages and tickets per device and sets them against the device's lifespan. Three reports on a six-month-old device point to a warranty case.
